Dear Friends,
Imagine our mission’s journey so far like a football field. As we continue to move forward we are about to reach the 50 yard line, the half way mark in our monthly support goal. An amazing moment in any game. and now within field goal range! (pun intended) The adrenalin starts to flow. Our house in on the market, things are beginning to be packed away and you can smell the end zone. This dream is becoming so real. There is a lot of work to do..
and the defense is pushing harder, but we know we are on the winning team!
Prayer Requests:
1. Praise the Lord with us, this is His effort and His success and we
are so privileged to be along for the ride.
2. Thanks to all of you that prayed for us and encouraged our marriage
and communication. a real sense of peace continues to fill our home.
3. Courtney had excellent travels in April and May and our minds are
filled with fresh ideas and visions for how God may use us and our ministry for his Kingdom.

Dear Friends,
We are happy to report that travels this month have been wonderful.
Courtney attended a conference on the Internet and Evangelism and was so excited to see what groups like Campus Crusade for Christ and HollywoodJesus.com were doing in using technology to reach out and share the Truth of Jesus.
With a quick turn around to Germany, for strategic planning with our team.
What a blessing to all be together and to dream about what God wants to do through each of us and our ministry. And yes, Krista and Alex survived at home.
We are still traveling a bit this weekend meeting with 2 mission committees sharing the vision that God has placed on our hearts. We bought a projector and are excited to use it to illustrate our words. Please pray for us.
On Saturday May 7, we’d invite any of you who wish to come help us with some house projects in preparation for putting it on the market. We’ll be painting, pressure washing, cleaning etc. Free pizza lunch included. Just reply to this e-mail if you want to join in the fun.
Prayers for May:
1) We have been experiencing unusual stress in our parenting and in our marriage. We know this is Satan trying to discourage us. Please pray for supernatural protection and that we would be united in patience, communication and direction.
2) We are going on a family vacation this month with Grandma and Grandpa Roes and Aunt Gina to the land of Mickey Mouse. Please pray for a sweet time together. You can imagine their mixed joy at seeing us follow the Lord to a far away place.
3) Pray that after a month of traveling, we can pick up our momentum to begin meetings again and that above all God would be honored in our support raising efforts.
Thank you so much,
Courtney, Krista and Alex

Dear Friends,
We hope everyone is doing well and having a wonderful spring. The Lord is doing wonderful things in our lives that we’d like to give you an update on.
We are praising the Lord for meeting our March goal of 25% of our ongoing support needs. This is really awesome!!!! Our one time expenses for moving over to Germany are also coming in at about the same pace due to generous special gifts and those that have already begun their ongoing support. Thank you everyone.
We ask for your prayers this month with quite a bit of travel entailed:
April 1-4: Courtney is traveling to Lynchburg, VA for a conference on the Internet & Evangelism in the 21st Century. This will be a wonderful idea gathering and networking opportunity for our ministry.
April 7-16: Courtney goes to meet with our team in Germany for a strategic planning session (4 days) and technical planning session (2 days). Members of the eDOT team and people who are preparing to join the team (like us) are all coming in for this time. We are looking at where the ministry is going over the next 5 – 10 years, setting goals, and then looking at the strategic moves that have to happen to accomplish that.
April 22-24: Courtney is going with the Lake Forest Youth group on their senior high school retreat.
April 28-30: The whole family will be going to South Carolina for our regional denominational meeting. Here we will get a chance to speak to the World Outreach missions committee as well as set up ourselves in the lobby with an opportunity to meet many of the church leaders from our regional area.
Ways you can pray:
1) Health and safety in travels.
2) A quick mind and the ability to absorb large amounts of information, sift that information and discern clearly where God is leading the E-Dot team.
3) The continued provision of the Lord through Courtney’s home business and the time to get the work done amidst all the rest of our priorities.
Thank you all for your prayer and support of this ministry,
Courtney, Krista and Alex too

5 Things People Want to Know –
Where are you going? – Living in South-west Germany but our ministry is throughout Eastern/Central and Western Europe
Why are you going? – God has called us to a ministry that through computers and technology provides creative outreach and training tools to assist the church in Europe in fulfilling the Great Commission. See our enclosed brochure for more details.
When are you going? – We have set a goal to move permanently to Germany by January 2006. In order to move there, we will need to raise 100% of our monthly support needs and outgoing expenses (like shipping, language school, and airfare). Currently we have 20% of our ongoing monthly support raised and are building our outgoing expenses daily.
How are you going? – We’ll fly, while our furniture and household items are shipped over the ocean. We will be sent out by our home church and the faithful friends and family that God has called to support our ministry through prayer and regular financial giving.
How can we help? –
• Pray for us! Seriously, this is not just a platitude… we can’t get there or be there without it! Better yet, let us know when you pray for us.
• Donate to our financial needs (see below)
• Help us paint, plant, organize, pack our house as we get ready to put it on the market. Come buy at our garage sale ?
• Keep us up to date on your lives and your prayer requests. We’re your friends and we take seriously our ministry to you.
• Help us save on communication expenses by keeping us current on your e-mail address. We hope to send out one paragraph updates once a month and a longer version like this, twice a year.

Welcome to the year 2005!!! We hope you had an enjoyable holiday season.
As we go into this new year, Krista and I are continually amazed at how God is faithful to answer prayers. Some of the prayers He answers patiently like “When are we going to get to Europe?” but others He answers very quickly – like when we got into our car recently and it would not start. After several turns of the key, all we heard was “CLICK”. Then out of the back seat, we heard our 4 year old Alex saying with a soft voice – “Dear Jesus, please make our car start”. With the next turn of the key the engine rev’ed right up. I turned and looked at Alex and with a contented smile on his face, Alex said “Yeah, God hears me”. Child like faith – do you have it?
We have a couple of specific prayer requests right now:
-We pray that the Lord would provide Courtney with the right contract job. This position would need to have the right balance of income and the necessary flexibility for us to continue to prioritize meeting with potential ministry partners.
-We have had an amazing time meeting with some initial ministry partners. We pray for continued progress here.
-We have a bit of work to do to get our house on the market this late spring. Pray for diligence and priorities to balance ministry, work and family time.
We take very seriously our ministry to you, and we faithfully lift up before the Lord your needs as we become aware of them. Please e-mail us with specific ways we can pray for you and your family.
In His Love,
Krista and Courtney Roes (Alex too)

Dear Friends,
Thanks to those of you who responded with great encouragement to our
November newsletter announcing our appointment with Greater Europe Mission.
We wanted to find a easy and convenient way to communicate with you on a
regular basis and would like to send you E-Roes updates every couple weeks
to update you on what God is doing in our lives and provide some of the
exciting information from the ministry we are joining.
For example, many of you are aware of the events in the Ukraine these past
months. This was an update from one of the pastors our E-dot ministry works
with.
“I am sure that you watch closely for the situation in Ukraine. It is really
unstable now. In spite of current situation I strongly believe that God
controls everything that takes place here. I know that this is only God’s
merit that people’s blood was not shed on the streets of Ukraine. But in
spite of the sad side of this event we have another side as well. Because of
all this political situation people’s heart are very opened to the Good
News. All members of Kiev churches of all denominations are in the Kiev
streets. They meet people from different parts of Ukraine, evangelize them,
pray with them, bring warm dress and food, invite them to stay for a night
at their houses and see them home. People disposed to accept the Good News
and many of them repent and go home with gladness in hearts. Enormous number
of Christian books, booklets, and brochures, New Testaments, Bibles were
distributed on streets. So, we have colossal evangelization. I know that
everything that happens here is in God’s will. I know that we do not have
influence on these events but we can pray to our Lord for our authority, for
giving them wisdom in accepting decisions, for the peace and stable
situation in Ukraine and we do it. I believe that you support us in the
prayer for our country.
“May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.” (Jude 1:2)
In Christ love,
Vladimir 12/3/2004″
We are sensitive to your time and the large amount of e-mails many of you
receive. We will always keep it short and sweet, but if you would not like
to participate in this update or would prefer us to send to a different
e-mail address please just reply back and let us know.
Thanks for your interest in us and our ministry. Merry Christmas!
