Virtual Prayer Walk for Europe

We want to invite you to be a part of a unique time where on October 23rd, our mission (Greater Europe Mission) is sponsoring a Virtual Prayer Walk for Europe. If you have every heard of a prayer walk, its when you go through a city or town and just pray as you observe. In this Virtual Prayer Walk, we will have a website where you can virtually travel around Europe and on that website will be some suggested things to pray for in each area of Europe. There will also be a place for you to mark that you prayed and participated in the virtual prayer walk.

To get an idea of what it will be like on October 23rd, go to http://www.gemission.org/Pray/Strategic.asp. You can also have the system automatically send you a reminder or refer a friend.

The logistics:

When: October 23rd, 2008
Time: Anytime
Where: Anywhere you are (just go to the website - http://www.gemission.org/Pray/Strategic.asp)

We are trying to have over 10,000 people participate so please let others know or go to the site http://www.gemission.org/Pray/Strategic.asp and invite them.

New Drinking Glasses

Krista went out and got some new drinking glasses for us at IKEA. She’s been wanting to get new drinking glasses for months and finally broke down and got them. Yeah! Anyway, she brought them home and was taking off the sticker on the bottom when all of the sudden she said, “Well, that’s not something you see every day.”. Then showed me on the bottom of the glass how it says “Made in Russia”. Yep, not something you see every day. Also interesting that it was written in English but that’s pretty typical (even stuff made in Germany for Germany says “Made in Germany” instead of “Macht in Deutschland”).

Now we just have to figure out how to get rid of our old BLUE glasses. Do they go in the white glass recycling, green glass recycling or brown glass recycling?

God’s Gas

Ok, I’m not really sure what their intention was by naming this bar “God’s Gas”. I actually have another picture of me in an animated position that related to this photo but I’m sure my wife would come close to killing me if I posted it. Instead, I give you the more “subdued” photo.

This does make you wonder about why a pool hall/bar would want to name their place this. To me this just cries out “We want the Truth!” and I don’t mean religion. What are your thoughts?

This is awesome story about how God is using GEM missionaries in Europe.

Intimidating Door

Some places have very interesting bathrooms. This was in a bathroom I was in recently and I have to say it was a little intimidating being “watched” while trying to go about my, um, “business”. Of course, it was easier to use than the other toilet that I’ve blogged about before.
