Stategic Planning followup

Thank you so much for your prayers. Our Strategic Planning was great. Our focus is really to complete some of the things we have gotten started so that they can be completed and then we can move on to new opportunities that we have. We actually have more details still to work out but we have the bulk of our points put together.
We also worked through the Birkman exam, which is a type of personality profile test that helps teams better understand how to work together. One of the top five reasons missionaries leave the field is because of interpersonal conflicts within their team (not cultural differences) and since the eDOT team is growing, we felt this was the best time to begin looking at how we work together. It was very interesting to see the differences we each had and we had a lot of “Ahhhh” moments. You know, when the test would say something about someone and everyone would go “Ahhhh, that’s why they act that way”.
Afterwards, we did a team retreat to the Swiss Alps where we did some more team building times. You can see that I had some fun with my camera here in the Photo Album.
Again, thanks for your prayers and please keep them coming – there’s a lot to do to here in Europe.
eDOT Strategic Planning – Prayer needed
Every year, the eDOT team gets together to look at the year ahead and think through what our focuses are. Every few years or so, we bringing everyone we can with eDOT and look at the direction we are going for the longer haul. This is one of those years. So from Feb 4th through the 10th, we will be meeting to see what God has for us over the next year and beyond.
Please pray with us that:
- God will reveal to us His plan for the eDOT ministry and that we will listen to Him.
- we as a team will bond together realizing the strengths that each one of brings to the table.
- it will be a great time for us spiritually and physically (I personally don’t sit still very well).
Thank you and God bless.
Alex – our drama king
I must share with you what Alex just did. I was on my computer working and Krista was in the kitchen getting dinner ready. As those of you who know Alex know that he doesn’t like to be alone much (he’s very much a people person) and today he’s been playing by himself most of the day. Well, the tradition here is that Sunday nights are family night where we eat dinner in the living room and either watch a movie or play a game or something that has us all together. Its usually a highlight for Alex’s weekend.
So Alex was pretty excited to get the family night stuff going and was pleading with Krista to hurry up and play with him. He was pleading, “Hurry up Mommy! I need you to come play with me.”
Krista replied, “Alex, just have patience. It’s not going to kill you to wait just a couple of more minutes.”
In a heavy breathing voice, Alex responded, “You were wrong!” He then proceeded to fall to the floor.
Life is not dull in our house!
